Name: Neema Tavana

Nature: Trickster
Pantheon - God: Yazata - Vayu

Brief Character History:

Neema began her life as the daughter of two people who both were in some position of power within the political ladder. They received a fair amount of income from their jobs, and lived in a house one may say was too big for the family of three. As such, Neema was hardly left wanting; it was only the most expensive things she was denied.

However, the one thing young Neema wanted more than anything else she couldn't have was the attention of her parents. Whether or not her parents actually wanted her is still up for debate; each were busy with their own jobs and didn't really have time for her. She was left alone and out of the way, only able to watch her parents when they were home. It is from hearing their many phone calls and watching their actions that she was able to learn a few social skills. When they were out of the house, she put her new knowledge to the test on the various caretakers of the household and learned by trial and error what words and phrases worked best for her.

Eventually, as she got a little older and could understand more of what was going on, even watching her parents became an act where she was considered too much in the way. She still wanted to watch them, however at this time it was more from a desire to keep up in her social learning experience and less a desire to spend quality time with her parents. Sometimes she was found hiding nearby one of her parents, eavesdropping or peeking through to watch them. For example, by the cracked doorway to the office one of her parents used to make a phone call to an important person.

Any time she was discovered, she was dragged away to some after school lesson or another. Soon, she was able to choose which ones to keep and she picked the gymnastic classes and violin lessons. While she still sneaked away to attempt watching her parents when they were home, she really enjoyed her chosen lessons and had no problem staying in the classes when her parents weren't around.

Such was her life for many years but eventually it wasn't enough for her. In her mid to late teens, she wanted to learn more, something different. As it was, she was decent with a violin, gifted in gymnastics and could talk most people into giving her what she wanted. But none of them really fit the strange, growing desire within her. Using her words, she was able to convince others to teach her things in secret. These new lessons were far too physical and violent for a daughter of two political figures, but she found what she was looking for. While her words held some power over those she spoke with, her newly developed skills provided her with a different kind of power over others; a power that would be used in a more physical sense. Though she still enjoyed and mostly preferred using her words as power, she liked that she learned a different way.

She continued training all of her skills, including her new ones. Sometimes she trained with others, but other times she trained on her own. She went to college as was expected of her and interned at one of the local political offices.

It was just a normal day when she found out that the man she believed to be her father was not actually the man who sired her...
